"Quotations By Famous Personalities"
Post on: August 28, 2018
“A quotation at the right moment is like bread to the famished,” — The Talmud. Wow, what a rousing statement! A quotation is one of the most powerful instruments to augment your writing – they give life to your script.
When used appropriately a quotation lends credence to your narrative. However, when incorrectly used, it causes confusion and makes the text ineffectual.
Public speakers articulate such quotes of wisdom to captivate their audience. Brendan Behan, widely regarded as one of the greatest Irish writers of all time, delivered it so succinctly: “A quotation in a speech, article or a book is like a rifle in the hands of an infantryman. It speaks with authority.”
