"Unnecessary Doubts"
Post on: July 12, 2018
It is always heartwarming to read motivating stories which uplift us. They capture our hearts, set us thinking and create a desire within us to act positively.
The Jolly Good Times brings you stories which have been told many times but they never fail to warm our hearts each time:
Two children were playing in a park. The boy had an array of marbles in his possession. The girl possessed some candies. The boy suggested that they play a game of “barter trade” — he will give his marbles in exchange for her candies.
The girl thought that it was an excellent idea and assented. But the boy had something up his sleeves. He kept the most beautiful marble in his pocket and gave the rest to the girl. He did not have the heart to part with his most prized marble. However, the girl did not have such vile thoughts — she gave him all her candies unconditionally.
That night, the girl had a peaceful night of sleep. But the boy couldn’t sleep. He was deeply troubled. It’s strange he felt this way since he supposedly had the better deal.
The proverbial, “Have your cake and eat it too” was how it was supposed to be for the boy. However, this wasn’t how it turned out to be. He kept wondering if the girl had hidden the best candy from him just like he had hidden his most precious marble.
It is a simple and innocent story among children, gone awry — the moral of the story is straightforward and simple. If you cheat someone, you will always have the niggling thought at the back of your mind that someone else is cheating you in a similar fashion.
You have to give your 100 % in a relationship. If you fail to do, you will end up doubting if the other person has given his 100%.
The Jolly Good Times will be bringing you a series of such motivating stories. They are powerful read; easy to digest and leaves behind a message. If you had enjoyed reading, share it with your kakis (buddies) — invite them to Like us on our Facebook.
